Flood Bros. Disposal present The Skinny & Houli Show and this week we welcome home an “old” young friend, Lexia Kennedy. Lexia was just crowned the All-Ireland Fiddling Champion Ages 12-15. She’s 14! Lex started playing the fiddle at the age of 4 and she’s been our guest many times over the years. A student of Kell Chole and her Murphy Roche Irish Music Club, Lexia is a confident and talented young lady who can play with the best of them, including her mentors Liz Carroll, Maurice Lennon, and Oisin Mac Diarmada, combining their styles with her own creating a unique and delightful sound that is all Lexia. Lexia plays for us throughout the show. We were also joined by Kathy Cowan, who sang a number of tunes from the show she just put together, “From Ireland”, playing at Chief O’Neill’s this Sunday, and we’re sure the show will be hitting the road for a long time to come. Kathy has a gorgeous voice and delicious personality, so tune in! Also this week, Houli fills us in on all the goings on for this weekend’s 4th Annual Irish American Movie Hooley, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at The Gene Siskel Film Center, presented by Slane Irish Whiskey! Hope to see you all there, for tix go to siskelfilmcenter.org For more info go to https://moviehooley.org
