Flood Bros. Disposal presents The Skinny & Houli Show and we start this week with Skinny giving us an update on Special Olympics being named Grand Marshall of The Southside Irish Parade and our old pal Marty McGarry named as Honoree. Then Houli tells us about his weekend in New York City with CFD Paramedic Chief Patrick Fitzmaurice being awarded The Irish Echo First Responder Award. Houli was glad to be home and says the weekend in New York “made me feel like an ant”. Then the lads welcome guest Chicago Police Department Detective Patrick Johnson as he tells us about his 21 years on the police force, his law enforcement family, and his day to day efforts to stop the violence in some pretty rough neighborhoods. Pat was shot in the back in Back of The Yards one-night several years ago and gives us an enlightening look at what he and his family went through during those very tough times. We discuss the way the media these days makes it hard for cops to do their jobs and all concur that “Blue Lives Matter!” Of course the show is not without the usual laughs so be sure to tune in to this very compelling episode of our show with a guy who is making a difference and putting his life on the line every day. God bless Pat Johnson and all of Chicago’s finest!
