Podcast: August 6, 2016

Flood Brothers Disposal presents The Skinny and Houli show and Houli starts off this week’s show by telling us about a documentary he’s making about the Irish Music School of Chicago called ‘Ó ghlúin go glúin’. We’re really looking forward to the finished product! Our guest this week is none other than our good friend and director at The Irish Music School of Chicago, Sean Cleland. Sean tells us all about the success of the Francis O’Neill Arts Week at the Irish American Heritage Center. Houli tells us about his granddaughter’s experience at the camp. The guys chat a little about Francis O’Neill, the Heritage Center and it’s returning success. Sean plays some lively jigs and reels for us. It’s always a pleasure to listen to him! As always, we have our ‘Who Cares?’ and ‘Who Died?’ segments along with upcoming events. Houli keeps the crowd laughing with his joke about Hitler. The 2nd Annual Irish Movie Hooley is coming up on September 30th to October 2nd so don’t forget to save the date! Sean returns to play us out this week with an energetic reel. The perfect end to an energetic show!
