Podcast: March 26, 2016

Flood Brothers Disposal presents The Skinny and Houli show as we enter into Easter week and the 1916 Centenary festivities. We talk up our upcoming trip to Ireland in October and the announcement of fiddler Katie Grennan as our musical guest for the trip! Tickets still available! Gene Cooney, Presidenti of The Irish American Heritage Center and co-host of The Craic with Cooney and Keane, joins us this week. Gene tells us about the need for our sponsor’s product, Fresh Wave spray, during a recent outing he took. We won’t tell if you won’t, Geno! Big things are happening at the Heritage Center in commemoration of the Easter Rising. Gene’s comic side shines brightly as he prepares for his comedy fundraiser for the center’s library. Karl “Charlie” Cummins, who hails from Swords, County Dublin, is the U.S. Brand Ambassador for the new, award-winning single malt Hyde Whiskey. He brought gifts and we taste-tested them. We learn that Houli’s new choice of drink is whiskey and soda so if you want to butter him up, that’s the secret! Finally, our former intern, E.J. Orr, surprises us on the show and tells us a little about Loyola High School and his work there as a football coach. Great craic and banter on the show but with Gene Cooney telling all the jokes this week, how will Skinny recover?! Have a listen for yourself!
