Podcast: August 15, 2015

Leo Moran of The Saw Doctors opens the show for our Galway extravaganza featuring Galway Mayor Frank Fahy and Galway Bay FM radio impresario Keith Finnegan, both in town to promote the “city of festivals” to Chicago. Galway is vying for “European City of Culture 2020” and Keith and the Mayor talk up all the cultural events continually going in Galway, give shout-outs to mutual friends in Galway- Mike Monaghan and Ollie Jennings, and toast another potential visit from the Skinny & Houli Tour in 2016. Keith promises to put in a good word for Houli when he visits Ballynahinch Castle in Connemara this October and both tell Houli he has a free pass to pitch a tent in Eyre Square whenever he wants! Throw in a rousing rendition of “Galway Girl” from the Chancey Brothers and you have to agree that you can’t beat Galway for the craic. Fun show, tune in!
