Podcast: December 27, 2014

It’s chapter two of our Christmas shows featuring the music of the lovely Kathleen Keane and troubador Peter Brady as they entertain us and the gang from the Galway Sister Cities Committee at our Christmas Party with a bunch of classic Irish tunes including “The Galway Shawl” which moved our friend and immigration champion Billy Lawless to join in the singing. It was a magic moment and you have to tune in to this show if only for that. But wait, there’s more! Billy Lawless, who will be awarded the Freedom of The City Award in Galway in May, tells us about the new immigration situation and then Consul General Aidan Cronin drops by for a pint and wishes all a very Merry Christmas. Paudie Sheahan sends in his virtual pint from O’Connell’s Bar in Ennis, County Clare and tells a very funny Christmas story, to which his father said, “Even Our Lord laughed at that one!” Kathleen and Peter finish out the show with a rousing rendition of Mountain Dew. A very Christmasy and musical show, maybe one of our best! So check it out!
