Podcast: March 29, 2014

Skinny & Houli welcome Chicago Irish legend Bob Ryan to the show. Bob’s dad Tommy Ryan started the Shannon Rovers in 1926 and Bob marched with the Rovers in every parade starting in the fifties from the Garfield Park boathouse to the Keyman’s Club on the old west side. For over 18 yeas Bob was co-host with Pete Furlong on “Irish Melody Time” radio show at the old Abbey. He was Houli’s co-star in a series of hilarious TV commercials for the Plumbing Council in the early 90’s and has been the emcee of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Queen contest for over 30 years. This guy has stories!

Then CIE Tours’ Mary Pat Flanagan gives us the pitch for the Skinny & Houli Return to Ireland tour in October to Dublin, Belfast, Derry, Donegal, and back to Dublin. See our website for info on the tour. Great show!
