Podcast: Nov. 2, 2013

Skinny is MIA this week helping out with Special Olympics so Houli welcomes the terrific young band, THE GREAT WHISKEY PROJECT. They’re launching their new CD “There Will Be Music When We’re Dead” at The Abbey on Saturday Nov. 23rd. The five musicians favor us with a half dozen numbers from their new CD and each one tells a story.

The costumed group of weirdoes at Lizzie’s for the Halloween Party enjoyed the music and Houli managed to sneak in promos for “More Hooliganism”, the sequel to his first book of stories, available online in December. Amidst all the great tunes, we get a plug in for Mary and PJ O’Dea who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last week. This is live music night on The Skinny & Houli Show.

Special bonus track for podcast listeners, The Great Whiskey Project performs their cover of Steve Earle’s “Galway Girl”!
