Podcast: Dec. 1, 2012

Skinny & Houli welcome Pulitzer Prize winning former Sun-Times columnist Mark Konkol to the show to discuss his new venture, DNAinfo.com, a new web newspaper featuring only neighborhood stories of Chicagoland. Mark talks about Marty McGarry and the upcoming fundraiser, why he chose to live in Pullman, his Pulitzer adventures, and good old fashioned “shoe-leather reporting”. Then the vivacious Jenny Moss joins the lads to continue the promotion of Sunday’s Bourbon Street fundraiser for Martin McGarry.

Jenny talks of all the bands, raffle prizes, yachts and cars in the silent auction and says, “It’s a big fat deal, Houli!” She then dubs the wife of Mike Joyce, Jamillah Ali, with the name she will be called forever after, “Mrs. Pickle”. Lady Gaga appears nude in our “Who Cares?” segment and Doug Hayes drops by for the last forty seconds of the show. It’s real Chicago radio, so don’t miss this party.
