Happy New Year Chicago!

It’s our first show of 2011, well technically, and Skinny and Houli had the honor to speak with the Rev. Msgr. Michael M. Boland, Administrator, President and Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities for the Archdiocese of Chicago.  Please listen to the segment, and visit Catholic Charities for the Archdiocese of Chicago, to learn about how you can help in the new year.

We’re actually able to pre-record the show so it’s not officially our first show “in” the year but we’ll be back next week with the first official show of 2011.  As always, a big New Year thank you to our listeners and of course our sponsors Hawthorne Race Course and Flood Brothers Disposal.

Plus, don’t miss a special screening of Mike Houihan’s new documentary, “Her Majesty, ‘da Queen” on Saturday, January 8 at the Beverly Arts Center.  The film is a sneak peek backstage at Chicago’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade Queen Contest and captures all the humor, heartbreak, and excitement shared by over 100 young women each year as they vie for the crown. Many of Chicago’s most endearing Irish-American personalities are also featured in the film in intimate interviews during the pageant. The Beverly Art Center is located at 2407 West 111th Street in Chicago, on the southwest corner of 111th and Western. Free parking. For tickets and more information call 312-445-3838.
